Directions:
Lavender Valley is 9 miles south of Hood River. Take I-84 through the scenic Columbia River Gorge to highway 35 in Hood River. Drive south towards Mt. Hood. Go right on Woodworth, right on Alexander, and right on Boneboro Road. Lavender Valley is located on the right.  We kindly ask that you drive slowly through this agriculural/residential area to help us maintain safety for all.

Distillery:
The lavender harvest normally begins towards the end of July, but is contingent on weather conditions. The distillery only operates during the harvest season, typically in the early morning hours. It takes about 80 pounds of lavender flowers to product 1 oz. of pure lavender essential oil. Optimum oil production occurs when the lavender plant still has about ½ of the flowers in bloom and ½ still in buds. We often delay distillation a few weeks which reduces our oil production slightly, but provides visitors with a more enjoyable experience in the fields.

Photography:
We invite everyone to take pictures during visits to Lavender Valley. We do however require that any photos used in any commercial fashion (print, web, broadcast, and in other public mediums) give the location credit: "Lavender Valley, Mt. Hood, Oregon." #lavendervalley

Picnics:
We installed shade sails over our picnic area and have several tables for your use. We welcome your visit and hope that you will not only picnic but explore the fields, the circular view area, and the breathtaking view of Mt. Hood.

Dogs:
Dogs are welcome at Lavender Valley but must be on a leash to ensure that they do not frighten other visitors or damage the lavender beds. We also appreciate owners who clean up after their pets.

Facilities for the Disabled:
Although we do not have designated disabled parking spaces, we will make every effort to assist with the best parking available. Kindly call our farm stand and inform our associates of your arrival, and we will support your visit. The lavender fields and gardens are fairly level and should be accessible to wheelchairs without difficulty. Our portable toilet facilities are not handicap accessible.
